Spirited and energetic, the 2025 XT4 delivers a standard turbocharged 2.0 L, 4-cylinder engine. This engine provides 235 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, while paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission.  Other highlights in the performance category of the XT4 include, drive mode selector, active fuel management, available twin-clutch AWD, and available sport suspension.

Offering a similar 2.0 L Inline-4 turbocharged engine, The Mercedes-Benz GLA provides 221 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired to a 8-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. Drivers will find Mercedes own  All-Wheel Drive platform, 4-wheel independent suspension, and Drive Select. 

Though the XT4 offers more power, the Mercedes-Benz offers slightly more economy leaving these competitors with no significant edge on the other.

Interior & Exterior Design

Design is a strong category for the XT4, as it flexes its polished, yet rugged appearance. Fresh off a  full redesign back in 2024, the XT4 shows off its distinctive front fascia. However, the last interior redesign came in 2021 for the GLA, while the XT4’s interior feels a lot more fresh.
